What is Facility Management

This official definition of facility management comes from the International Facility Management Association (IFMA), the  professional accrediting  and certifying organization for Facilities Management.

Facility Management is a profession that encompasses multiple disciplines to ensure functionality of the built environment by integrating people, place, process and technology.

Facilities Management Curriculum @ WIT

Wentworth's Facilities Management Program leads to a Bachelor of Science Degree in Facilities Planning and Management  (BFPM).  It is a four year program accredited by the IFMA and is the only program of its kind in the Northeast.

The Facilities Management educational experience includes a cooperative work program in which students are required to spend two semesters working as an intern in the professional facility management field.
